Protect your SLAs: Uptime Monitoring Is Here!

Welcome back to The Bluejay Times !

Every voice AI team has a number they are responsible for. A service level agreement that says their agent will respond within a certain time, resolve a certain percentage of calls, and stay available around the clock.

That number is not just an internal metric. It is a promise to customers, and in many cases it is written into a contract that carries real consequences if it gets missed.

The problem is that SLAs do not care about your deployment schedule. A prompt change goes out on a Friday afternoon, a third party integration quietly times out over the weekend, and a model update shifts the way your agent responds to a query it used to handle perfectly. By Monday morning your pass rate has dropped and nobody caught it because nobody was watching over the weekend.

That is how SLAs get breached. Not dramatically or all at once, but quietly, over a weekend, while everyone was offline and the agent was running on its own.

Uptime monitoring is how you stay ahead of that. Bluejay runs automated simulation checks on a schedule around the clock so you always have a live read on whether your agent is performing the way it should. The moment something drifts, you get notified through PagerDuty or whatever incident tool your team already uses, so you can fix it before it becomes a breach and before it becomes a conversation you do not want to have with a customer.

Your SLAs are a promise, and Uptime monitoring is how you keep it.

As a recap:

  1. Bluejay is a testing and monitoring platform for Conversational AI agents. Companies ranging from Fortune 10 enterprises to fast-growth startups in the Silicon Valley use Bluejay to make sure their voice and text agents work in production (monitoring) and development (testing) environments.
  2. Our team, now ten strong, works around the clock to make sure your agent behaves when talking to customers.
  3. This newsletter is 100% human written. It always has been, and it always will be. Ask yourself about what you are consuming. If the writer hasn't read it, why should you?

Announcements

Here is what happened at Bluejay last week:

  • Rohan announced a free voice agent audit. If you are building a voice agent and want to know exactly how it performs before it goes live, this is for you. Check it out at getbluejay.ai/audit.
  • Bluejay is getting ready to open its doors to everyone with a self-serve product coming very soon. More on this next week!
  • The team pushed 72,229 lines of code to production this week to make Conversational AI more reliable.

We have launched a free voice agent audit

Head over to app.getbluejay.ai/audit, drop in your support number, and that's it.

We'll call your agent, find the issues, and send the fixes straight to your inbox within 30 minutes.

Everyone who runs an audit gets early access to an upcoming Monday launch.

Go run yours 🐦!

A big thank you to Ronniel Gandhe, Ryan Bishop, and Azfar Khan for bringing this to life!

Behind the Build

Engineering shipped:

  • RAG support is now live. You can upload documents directly into Bluejay and plug them into evals and digital human generation. This one has been in the works for a while and it is going to power a lot of what comes next.
  • Uptime monitoring is now in production. Automated simulation checks run on a schedule so you always know your agent is behaving the way it should in production.
  • Follow up SMS testing is now live. You can now test whether your agent correctly triggers and handles follow up SMS messages after a call, directly from your simulation settings.
  • Clickhouse is now powering analytics in production, meaning faster and more reliable data across dashboards and call logs.

Feature Spotlight: Uptime Monitoring

Voice agents do not just fail during testing. They fail in production. A model update quietly breaks a workflow. A third party integration goes down. A prompt regression slips through after a late night deploy. By the time someone notices, customers have already had a bad experience.

Uptime monitoring is how you catch it first.

Bluejay now runs automated simulation checks on a schedule so you always know your agent is behaving the way it should. If something breaks, you find out immediately, not when a customer complains. You can set up alerts that connect directly to your existing incident management tools so the right person gets notified the moment something goes wrong.

The goal is simple. Your agent should never surprise you in production.
